Create a core program that can be adapted into education systems around the world.

Campaign

CarrotNewYork created the Bright Smiles, Bright Futures global model education program which features fun and engaging characters that come to life via teacher’s guides, engaging student materials, videos, posters, and parent take-homes.

It’s never easy to get young kids to brush their teeth. But when Dr. Rabbit and the Tooth Defenders arrive on the scene, suddenly taking care of one’s smile is no longer a chore; it’s an adventure!

For nearly two decades, the Bright Smiles, Bright Futures program has taught the importance of oral care by actively engaging children and their teachers and parents. To develop this successful model, CarrotNewYork worked closely with a global team of cultural, educational and oral health specialists. Today, in many countries, the program is formally endorsed by the national Ministry of Health and/or Ministry of Education.

Each year CNY updates the materials to ensure relevancy and scientific accuracy. The campaign consistently reaches millions of children and their families. In fact, tens of thousands of children from around the world submit their artwork for a yearly calendar contest and become “peer ambassadors” by spreading the message of good oral health.

Results

Annual reach for the program is 50 million children and families across 80 countries and in 30 languages.
